Ben & Jerry’s has recently started producing dairy-free ice creams. Although this is probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me, I realize that eating an entire pint for breakfast is probably not the healthiest choice. So I decided to take Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia flavour and create a nice cream that can be eaten for breakfast completely guilt-free! To start, you will need to create your nice cream base. For this, simply blend together: 2 frozen bananas, 2/3 cup frozen cherries and a splash of vanilla. To stay true to Ben & Jerry’s notorious swirls and chunks, we are going to create a very basic cherry syrup. For this, simply process 1/3 cup cherries with 1/2 tsp agave until smooth. To assemble, spoon your nice cream base into a bowl and swirl in your cherry syrup. Top it off with some chopped dark chocolate and you have yourself a big bowl of Cherry Garcia nice cream! I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe, don't forget to tag me in your creations on Instagram or Twitter (@vagabondveganca) and comment below if you have any requests for future nice cream flavours, I love hearing from you guys!

Below I have compiled the basic smoothie bowl formula with some ingredient ideas to help get you going!
Blend the above ingredients together and move on to...
Toppings! (a.k.a the best part)
This is where you can really get creative! You can use cinnamon, cocoa powder, coconut chips, fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, granola, dark chocolate - anything you want. You can sprinkle them on or create designs, it's up to you. Have fun with it!
